About
FLOAT – River & ZEN & Chill:A relaxing app where you enjoy a game while cleaning our planet.
FLOAT was created to raise awareness on the river pollution issues caused by litters. Each players gather litters such as plastic bottles. Though it sounds simple, the app provides a “”ZEN”” experience with soothing ripples and sounds. Players naturally immerse themselves in the game. In addition, the app features a socially experimental system that connects virtual actions with the real-world impact.

“Float” is an app designed to explore rivers (particularly the Arakawa River) and the pollution issues they face. We incorporated many experimental elements into the app, and while it may not be perfect, our journey of creation led to numerous new discoveries.
For those interested, we recommend checking out a related work called “Soil” by Satoshi Kako’s “Earth – Let’s See What Is Inside”. It offers complementary insights that we believe will enrich your understanding.

A game perfectly suited for our times.
The system is simple. You pick up as much trash as you can to clean the river. It’s a game that raises awareness of the environment and hopefully inspires action in real life too.
You need to adjust the flow of the river to guide the trash accurately into the basket, but it doesn’t always go as planned. And that’s what makes it fun.
It’s simple, yet irresistibly engaging.
